Vietnamese Museum Australia —Grand Opening
The Vietnamese Museum Australia Board and Executive Leadership Team are pleased to invite you to attend the Official Opening of the Vietnamese Museum Australia and Wominjeka Plaza, delivered in partnership with Brimbank City Council.

The opening of the museum represents an important milestone for the Vietnamese community and for Australia more broadly. It marks the culmination of many years of work by community members, volunteers and supporters committed to preserving the history of the Vietnamese refugee journey and sharing these stories with future generations.
The Vietnamese Museum Australia will serve as a place of remembrance, education and cultural connection, honouring the resilience of those who rebuilt their lives in Australia and celebrating the contributions Vietnamese Australians have made to the nation.
We are deeply grateful to the many individuals, organisations and communities who have supported the museum and helped bring this important project to life. It would be a pleasure to welcome you to Sunshine to join us in marking this significant occasion.
The event will bring together community leaders, Vietnam veterans, supporters of the museum, and representatives from across government, education and the cultural sector.
Please note that the Grand Opening will be primarily a standing event, with limited seating available. We kindly ask that seats be prioritised for seniors and guests who may require assistance.
Please also note that on-site parking is limited, and we strongly encourage guests to use public transport where possible. Sunshine Station, with both train and bus services, is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the museum.
