Metro Trains: We are hiring! Work at the Metro Tunnel
Metro Trains is hiring more than 100 station staff to work at the Metro Tunnel’s 5 new state-of-the-art stations opening in 2025.
Applications will open on 22 November for Station Masters, Senior Station Officers, Station Officers and Station Assistants to work at Arden, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall and Anzac stations.
The station staff will have a strong customer focus and play a key role in passengers’ experience of the new Metro Tunnel and stations —helping thousands of people each day get where they need to go quickly and safely.
The Metro Tunnel will create a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in Melbourne’s north west to Cranbourne and Pakenham in the south east via a new tunnel under the city.
People will be able to catch a train to Parkville and St Kilda Road for the first time, and switch easily to City Loop services via underground walkways at Town Hall Station (to Flinders Street Station) and State Library Station (to Melbourne Central Station).
The 5 Metro Tunnel stations will be new landmarks for Melbourne, featuring striking architecture, world-class public art and 21st century technology and amenities.
