MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER FOR MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS
TẾT
As Vietnamese families across Australia gather to celebrate Tết Nguyên Đán and welcome the Year of the Horse, I send my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones.
Tết is a deeply spiritual time of reflection, renewal, and hope. It’s an opportunity to honour family, acknowledge ancestors and the legacy of past generations, and look ahead with confidence for the year to come.
Across Australia, these traditions are carried forward with pride and generosity. The vibrant colours, the coming together of family and friends, the sharing of food, and the quiet moments of remembrance all reflect the richness of Vietnamese culture and the values that hold communities together.
Just as Tết celebrations are an integral part of Australia’s multicultural life, so are the contributions of the Vietnamese community to our national story.
Through your resilience, achievements, and strong commitment to community life, your contributions enrich our society and strengthen social cohesion.
As we welcome the New Year, I wish you peace, health, and prosperity. May the Year of the Horse bring progress, opportunity, and fulfilment.
THE HON ANNE ALY MP
