Call for Submissions: 2026 Edition of Phụ Nữ Việt Magazine –Tết Bính Ngọ
We are pleased to invite submissions for the 2026 edition of Phụ Nữ Việt Magazine, which will be distributed during the Lunar New Year — Year of the Horse (Bính Ngọ).
Since its founding in 1983 and renaming in 1999, Phụ Nữ Việt has proudly served as a platform for the Vietnamese community to share their stories, perspectives, and creative work. Ten thousand copies are distributed yearly at major community events across the Melbourne metropolitan area, including Lunar New Year celebrations.
Theme of the 2026 edition:
“50 Years of Vietnamese Settlement in Australia – Memoires, Stories, Resilience and Renewal”
This special edition will explore the journey of Vietnamese Australians over the past five decades, with a focus on mental health, resilience, and community well-being.
We welcome your stories, reflections, and creative expressions.
Submission details:
- Deadline: 30 September 2025
Formats Accepted:
- Written pieces (short stories, poems, memoirs, essays) – Word document
- Visual art – JPEG or PNG files
- Languages: English, Vietnamese, or bilingual.
- Word limit: Up to 4,000 words
- Original work only: Submissions must be original work by the author and not previously published elsewhere.
- Contributor fee: $40 per selected piece
- Include: Your full name and contact details with your submission
