Public Announcement: The Fundraising Event on Sat 5/11/22


The Executive Committee would like to report the financial outcome of the fundraising event occurring on the last Saturday, 5/11/2022, at the Springvale Town Hall to support the organisation of the 2023 Tet Festival, which will be held on January 28 and 29, 2023:

  1. Donations: $4,980.00
  2. Auction: $1,000.00
  3. Raffles: $2,000.00
  4. Tickets: $5,750.00

TOTAL REVENUE: $13,730.00

TOTAL EXPENSES: $5,458.24

RAISED FUND: $8,271.76

Attached is a List of Individuals who made contributions.

The Executive Committee would like to thank Mr Bon Nguyen (former President of the last Executive Committee), Councilor Loi Truong (Greater Dandenong Council), Matthew Guy (Leader of the Victorian Liberal Party), the upcoming State Election candidates: Mr Trung Luu (Victorian Liberal Party), Dr Tien Dung Kieu (Victorian Labor Party) and Ms Thuy-Kim Le (Victorian Democratic Labor Party) were present and spoke.

We would like to acknowledge the dedicated service of many arts and cultural associations or groups such as AVA, Vietnamese Over 50 Club, Bach Viet Dance, VASA Dance, Blackburn Seniors Dance, and Huong Que Dance, and countless volunteers, especially Dentist Dinh Hieu and Ms Nhu Hoang, who were the event masters of ceremony. We also offer our gratitude to a friend working at the Greater Dandenong Council for sponsoring a unique, lively, joyful island dance performance.

Lastly, the Executive Committee would like to thank the Organising Committee and all attendees for making the event a success.
