VIC: More than 1,000 cannabis plants seized in Latrobe Valley
Detectives from the Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit this week seized more than 1,000 cannabis plants from a vacant commercial property in Newborough.
Officers executed a search warrant at the property on Monday —as part of an ongoing investigation into drug manufacturing across Gippsland.
During the search —police located and seized 1,309 mature cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $1 million.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and enquiries are ongoing to determine whether the seizure is linked to organised crime.
