TẾT NGUYÊN ĐÁN 2026 MESSAGE
As we welcome the Year of the Horse, I extend my warmest greetings to the Vietnamese Australian community and everyone celebrating Tết Nguyên Đán across Australia.
Tết is a deeply meaningful time for Vietnamese families and communities. It is a moment to reflect on the year that has passed, to give thanks, and to look ahead with hope and optimism. The traditions of Tết highlight the importance of family, respect, compassion and a strong sense of community.
The Year of the Horse is traditionally associated with energy, resilience and forward momentum. These qualities are clearly reflected in the Vietnamese Australian community, whose hard work, strong family values and dedication to community life have enriched Australia’s cultural and social landscape.
Through sharing your traditions, values and stories with the wider community, Vietnamese Australians help build understanding, strengthen connections, and contribute to a stronger and more cohesive Australia.
As the new year begins, I wish everyone good health, happiness and prosperity. May the Year of the Horse bring renewed hope, unity and success to you, your families and communities across Australia.
