Springvale: Drugs and cash seized in warrant at Newcomen Rd
Police have seized traffickable quantities of drugs following a search warrant in Springvale as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officers from the Greater Dandenong Neighbourhood Policing (NHP) Team, with the assistance of the Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit and the Divisional Response Unit attended an address on Newcomen Road on 22 November.
One male attempted to flee but was quickly arrested, the other occupants inside the home were also detained.
While inside, it’s alleged police located:
• A traffickable quantity of Methylamphetamine
• A traffickable quantity of Heroin
• A quantity of Cannabis.
• Approximately 48 Diazepam tablets.
• Cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime from trafficking drugs of dependence.
A 32-year-old Springvale man has been charged with possessing and trafficking drugs and deal property suspected of being the proceeds of crime and has been remanded to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 25 November.
A 55-year-old Springvale man has been charged with drug possession and was bailed Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 6 March 2025.
A 38-year-old Springvale was charged with drug possession and was bailed to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 6 March 2025.
A 24-year-old Melbourne woman was charged with drug possession and bailed to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court of 6 March 2025.
A 53-year-old also in the house, of no fixed address, was issued with a drug diversion before being released from custody. (V/P)
