Providing information in relation to the matter of smearing and defamation.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

During the recent meeting between the Vietnamese Community in Australia – Victorian Chapter (VCA-VIC) and the Counter Foreign Interference Coordination Centre (CFICC) of the Department of Home Affairs at the community office on Thursday, the latter advised that one of the methods foreign powers have employed to influence Australian politics and society is to smear and defame Australian politicians or community leaders on social media such as Facebook, YouTube or email. Therefore, the CFICC encouraged the Executive Committee to pass all evidence of past defamation against VCA-VIC to the authority for a thorough investigation as this is their role and responsibility.
Given the above, the Executive Committee asks the community members to provide information such as names, addresses, proofs, etc. about the slander and defamation of the Executive Committee and Volunteers in the past to:
