Meeting with the Counter Foreign Interference Coordination Centre, Department of Home Affairs.

On Thursday, 23 March 2023, at 10.30am, there was a meeting between the Vietnamese Community in Australia – Victorian Chapter (VCA-VIC) and the Counter Foreign Interference Coordination Centre (CFICC), Department of Home Affairs at the VCA-VIC Footscray office, 1/56 Nicholson Street. This was a follow-up meeting after the initial one before the end of last year.

The discussion was amicable, candid and productive. Both parties exchanged views on how to work together proactively to mitigate the risks of foreign interference in the Vietnamese community in Victoria. We also agreed on the next steps, such as information sessions, Vietnamese-language brochures and pamphlets, and reporting mechanisms to assist with the education drive on the Centre’s purpose and objectives in the community.
The meeting concluded at 12 noon.
