RE: General Community meeting to report activities and on the financial matters.

Melbourne, 1^st November 2023

The Executive Committee would like to invite you to attend the General Community meeting so that we have the opportunity to report activities and on the financial matters.

Date: Saturday 11/11/2023

Time: 2 pm to 5 pm

At: Vietnamese Community Centre – No. 90 Knight Ave North Sunshine.

Topics covered include:

1. Members of the Advisory and Prudential Council present a number of concerns that have happened in recent months;
2. Lawyer Nguyen Tan Hai, Head of Legal Sub-Committee, will provide legal advice and report on issues relating to the community concerns, including the Vietnamese Museum Australia Ltd;
3. Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy, President, will report on community activities and the 50-year anniversary of the Vietnamese Refugee Settlements;
4. Mr. Hai Pham, Director of Tet Festival, will report on the Tet Festival “Remembering Saigon”, to be held on February 17 and 18, 2024 at Footscray Park;
5. Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy, President, and Ms. Nguyen Kim Huong, Treasurer, will report on the financial matters, focus on the 2023 Children Lantern Festival;
6. Questions, answers and comments on the above topics.

The Community Executive Committee would like you to attend and provide us with your inputs.
