Lit from the sky above and the lanterns below, Tết Trung Thu is a profound expression of history, heritage and tradition, one that is honoured and upheld through the customs shared by the Vietnamese community across the world.
Cherished and passed from generation to generation as a precious inheritance, the celebration of the Tết Trung Thu in this country is also a beautiful gift to all Australians.
It also stands as a proud reminder of how long people of Vietnamese heritage have been a part of our national story. Through hard work, energy, aspiration and love of country, your community has added so much to Australia in every walk of life and every field of endeavour.
To everyone taking part in this year’s Tết Trung Thu gatherings, may the moon be at its brightest for your celebrations.
